Language requirements
For applications for academic year 2025-2026 and beyond, it is mandatory to submit the result of the Quantitative Reasoning component of the General Test for students who wish to get admitted to the MSc in BME at Ghent University or VUB. The GRE result will be one component in the overall assessment of your application and will also help you in assessing your qualifications to start these studies.
GRE is a standardised test on verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing that measures readiness to pursue graduate-level programs. The GRE is available in two categories: the GRE General Test and the GRE Subject Tests. GRE scores are valid for five years following your test date. More info can be found on the GRE website.
