Information for exchange (PhD) students
Being an exchange student
An exchange student temporarily lives in a foreign country and attends courses. The exchange period at UGent lasts a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 12 months. The exchange student does not get a diploma from UGent.

Language requirements

- The faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences is strict as to the level of your English language Mastery. If you cannot present a B2-certificate, your application will be refused.

The exchange learning agreement (LA) for studies
- Exchange program in Psychology and Educational Sciences
- Exchange programs of Ghent University
- Your exchange learning agreement should consist of at least 15 ECTS of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences.
- Make sure to meet the initial competences as described in the course specifications of each course.
- Courses from other faculties exchange programs will only be accepted provisionally.
The exchange learning agreement for traineeship
Students coming to the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences for a traineeship will have to upload a learning agreement for traineeship in their exchange application.
