ir. Ezra Beernaert
Ezra Beernaert specializes in in snow remote sensing, modelling and data assimilation.
Bio
After a master in Bioscience Engineering: Land, Water and Climate, I joined the Hydro-Climate Extremes Lab as a PhD researcher working on the SNOW-MODE project. This project aims to unravel the impacts of climate variability on dynamics of snow water resources, making use of snow modeling and remote sensing. I am mostly focusing on the development of snow model simulations including the assimilation of remote sensing observations of snowpack properties. In later stages of the project, I will also study the interaction between snow water resources and indices of climate variability.
