Lucas Boeykens specializes in snow, machine learning and teledetection.
Bio
I graduated as bio-engineer in 2023 in land, water and climate management. After finishing my master thesis, in which I investigated different methods to predict snow density based on snow depth, I started my recent project Snowtrane that focusses on snow depth estimation using machine learning. My main interests are working with geographic data, and making and improving spatiotemporal predictions of snow depth.
