Muhammad Abdul Munnaf
Dr. Muhammad Abdul Munnaf is a postdoctoral researcher working on developing an “Eco-smart decision support system for digital farming”. He earned his PhD in Bioscience Engineering from Ghent University, Belgium in 2022. He holds MSc degree in Farm Power and Machinery and BSc in Agricultural Engineering from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He started his professional career as an Assistant Engineer at Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (2011-2013) and now he is an associate professor at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He began his academic career as a Lecturer in 2013 followed by an Assistant Professor in 2015-2021 at the same University. Munnaf has wide experience in working with proximal and remote sensing technologies, multi-sensor data fusion, on-line soil sensors, geospatial analytics, intelligent learning, digital soil mapping, farm mechatronics, precision agriculture, control of variable rates technologies, farm machinery design, cropping system modeling & simulation, modeling of climate change impacts, and so on. He is a member of the Institute of Engineers Bangladesh, and the International Society of Precision Agriculture, USA.
