Yin obtained both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Environment science and technology from the Faculty of Ecology, Hainan University China (2015-2022). She did her master’s thesis on Plastic mulch debris in the rhizosphere: Interactions with soil-microbe-plant systems. In October 2022, she was awarded by China Scholarship (CSC) to obtain her PhD for 4 years focusing on Micro-(nano-)plastic labelling for environmental studies, under the supervision of Prof. Stefaan De Neve and co-promotors Prof. Andre Skirtach and Prof. Steven Sleutel.
