Full Professor Head of the Isotope Bioscience laboratory – ISOFYS
Bio
Pascal Boeckx is full professor at Ghent University and head of the Isotope Bioscience laboratory – ISOFYS. He holds a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences (1998, Ghent University), a MSc in Environmental Sanitation (1992, Ghent University) and an MSc in Bioscience Engineering (1991, Ghent University). He received an award certificate for contributing to the Nobel Peace Prize of the IPCC in 2007.
His research is oriented towards a wide range of stable isotope applications and analyses. He has a key interest in biogeochemistry, climate change, ecosystem functioning and integrated soil fertility management. His research is highly internationally oriented with ongoing research projects in Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Ethiopia, Kenya, Ivory Coast, DR Congo, South Africa and Greenland.
