Laboratory for Chemical Analysis
Driving Instrumental analytics
The laboratory for chemical analysis (LCA), lead by Prof. Pieter Vermeir, focuses on innovations in instrumental and analytical chemistry.
Method development, improvement and validation in challenging matrices form our core business. On top, the laboratory is an analytical service centre offering expertise in the qualitative and quantitative determination of organic and inorganic compounds.
By combining routine measurements with high-end research equipment, the major goal of our lab is to answer all your analytical problems and questions.
LCA has got a quality label from the federal Belgian government, and works according to the ISO 17025 quality standard.
Scientific Community LCA is an analytical partner in research projects and offer analytical and instrumental expertise to research partners.
Students We welcome internships, bachelor and master dissertations (also in combination with industrial partners).
Industry LCA is a single point of contact for all industrial analytical demands. Routinely based quantifications combined with research related questions are in scope
Society LCA strives for the transition of research results into relevant applications and offers the possibility to work under article 60.
