LVDVII+pro portable viscometer (Brookfield)
This rotational viscometer measures the torque required to rotate an immersed element (the spindle geometry) in a fluid. The spindle is driven by a motor through a calibrated spring; deflection of the spring is indicated by a digital display. By utilizing a multiple speed transmission and interchangeable spindles, a viscosity between 1.5 and 6.000.000 cP (mPa.s) can be measured depending on the sample and sample preparation.
With the viscometer different types of flow behavior like viscosity, elasticity, plasticity are investigated and enables to conduct a detailed analysis of virtually any fluid (newtonian, pseudoplastic, dilatant, thixotropic, etc.).
With an external temperature control unit this device will give the apparent viscosity at the defined temperatures.
