De UGent-Crelan Leerstoel vertaalt kennis uit toegepaste onderzoeksprojecten over agro-innovatie naar toepassingen in de praktijk.
De leerstoel werd in 2015 opgericht aan de UGent, met steun van de coöperatieve bank Crelan.
Wat doen we?
Onderzoekstimuleren naar innovatieve oplossingen voor duurzame landbouw en voor het agri-business-complex. Verder ook factoren wegwerken die de implementatie van deze innovaties belemmeren.
Wetenschappelijke inzichten communiceren naar belanghebbenden in de landbouwsector, zoals bedrijfsleiders en beleidsmakers. Hierbij stimuleren we de samenwerking tussen onderzoekers binnen de UGent, maar ook met onderzoekers van andere onderzoeksinstellingen actief in het landbouwonderzoek.
Agro-innovatie: door externe netwerken op te zetten en te onderhouden vergemakkelijken we de overdracht van onderzoeksresultaten in agro-innovatie naar de maatschappij.
