Mycin production, extraction and analysis

I am a teaching assistant at the laboratory of Chemical Plant Protection, where I started in 2019 with a focus on pesticide analysis. The Lab of Phytopathology already had a collection of some interesting Pseudomonas asplenii strains (UPB0736, RHF3.3-3 and COR18) that produce CLPs. These components are able to control certain pathogens, such as Rhizoctonia solani. That is why my research became more focused on CLP-extraction and analysis (LC-MS/MS). The aim of my study is to maximize the production and extraction of mycins in order to check whether these components can be used as fungicides in agricultural applications.
