Causal agents and control strategies for durian tree decline

Nghi Nguyen Ba (PhD researcher)

Durian (Durio zibethinus L.) is a crop that brings high economic value to farmers in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Currently, many factors cause a decline in the growth of durian trees, and stem canker disease is one of the leading causes of poor growth of durian trees, which can lead to tree death and reduced productivity. This research aims to find the causes of diseases causing the decline in durian trees in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Besides that, investigate their pathogen's sensitivity to fungicides and develop effective control measures with less negative environmental impacts.
