Benjamin Ponet is a former elementary school teacher, currently working as a PhD researcher at the research group 'Teacher Education and Professional Development' at the Department of Educational Studies. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ruben Vanderlinde and Prof. Dr. Wendelien Vantieghem (Center for Diversity and Learning), he has been investigating how teacher educators can contribute to so-called 'diversity-responsive education'. The main goal is to gain theoretical and empirical insights into the unique role of teacher educators in promoting education that truly serves all students and helps reduce structural inequality.
