Research themes: Borders, migration governance and people on the move
Nathan Lauwers is a scientific researcher at Liberas -The Center for the History of Free Thought and Action- and an affiliated postdoctoral researcher at the Ghent Institute for International and European Studies (GIIS). His research focuses on the discourse on migration in a historical and contemporary perspective, with a special interest in the dynamics of politicization. In addition, he conducts research on various relational fields related to the concept of 'freedom'. Nathan Lauwers is also affiliated with the Secular Studies Association Brussels (SSAB).
