What is biosecurity and why is it important?
Biosecurity stands for a combination of all measures that ensure that we limit both the introduction and the internal spread of infectious diseases.
Infectious diseases are diseases that are transmissible between individuals. This transmission can occur between animals or, for some infectious diseases, also between humans and animals.
In a veterinary clinic environment, there is always a certain risk of infectious diseases. Therefore, together with staff, students and visitors, we are committed to infection prevention so that we can safeguard both the health of your animal(s) and all other animals, as well as all the people in our clinics, and provide the best care to our patients.
What does this mean for you as a visitor?
Therefore, we kindly ask you at each visit to:
- First check in at the front desk,
- Respect the visiting hours,
- When allowed, only visit your own animal,
- Do not bring a pet with you during your visit,
- Respect the hygiene rules of the clinic you are visiting.
