Project

In the CAMPREVENT project we will investigate how Campylobacter is introduced into the farm, what the possible contamination sources and transmission routes are and how we can break through these by means of biosafety measures. The part of the project (which I focus on) aims at setting a Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOP) to minimize the contamination of broiler transportation crates with Campylobacter sp. at the poultry processing facility. Working on the economics of thinning and use of probiotics to control Campylobacter colonization.
