Ultima 2023 award presented to Rotor

(13-05-2024)

On 30th of April 2024, the Flemish minister of Culture awarded the Ultima 2023 in the category of Architecture and Applied Arts to Rotor.

The Flemish community has a long tradition of presenting cultural awards. These labels of quality recognize the cultural importance of the laureate's work. Rotor is a non-profit organization based in Brussels that was co-founded by prof. Lionel Devlieger of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning. As a cooperative design and research practice, they focus on sustainability and circular architecture.

The department is proud and pleased that Rotor has received this special recognition. Prof. Lionel Devlieger shares his expertise in this socially relevant field with his students and by extension with our department, for instance in his course History of Contemporary Construction: Capita Selecta.
