Expolab: Exhibition & Lecture Series
Expolab was a public research programme about exhibiting architecture, from October 2014 to March 2015. It consisted of a public masterclass, a lecture series and an exhibition.
The tree day masterclass was given by Rotor (Brussels) and Jérémie M. McGowan (Nasjonalmuseet Oslo) with participants from Ghent University and other institutions. The lecture series was a co-organisation by the Department and Archipel vzw, with lectures by Jérémie M. McGowan, Moritz Küng & Wouter Davidts, Andres Lepik, and a panel with Joachim Declerck, Lionel Devlieger, Kersten Geers, Kris Kimpe, Dirk Somers, Richard Venlet, Jan De Vylder, moderated by Maarten Liefooghe and Stefaan Vervoort.
The exhibition in the library brought a reflection on the exhibition designs and the strategies of seven investigated Belgian architects, curators, and artists, through ‘à la manière de’ projects by master students. Rotor curated, designed and produced the exhibition.
With support of the Flemish Government.
