Architecture (de)mobilised : (digital) explorations of the Belgian (post-)military construction site

This doctoral research, positioned at the intersection of construction history and digital (architectural) humanities, challenges the prevailing historiographical focus on the modern movement within architectural narratives of military conflict.

BIM (the Building Information Model) introduces a technological revolution in the design, construction and management of buildings and infrastructure. Because of the improved tools for information management, BIM allows to design, construct and operate constructions in a more reliable, faster and cost-efficient manner.
