DIC measuring system

Digital image correlation and tracking is an optical method that employs tracking and image registration techniques for accurate 2D and 3D measurements of changes in images.

Features

During testing, three-dimensional displacements and in-plane strains can be monitored using three-dimensional digital image correlation (DIC) on images obtained through a stereo-vision system. DIC aims to obtain the displacement field that yields the best correlation between the image of a deformed surface and a reference surface of the undeformed surface.

  • 12 MP resolution.
  • Continuous frame rate of 30fps.
  • 1" sensor format.
  • CMOS sensor.
  • Multiple lens configurations for small, medium and full-scale sample sizes.
  • High-contrast 3D speckle pattern need to be applied on the test sample (a speckle kit provides guidance).
