Wear and damage testing of finished gears under controlled load, speed and lubrication conditions

Features:

  • Testing gears for mechanical power up to 150kW
  • Maximum speed up to 4000 rpm
  • Maximum torque up to 1650 Nm
  • Both short time and endurance testing are possible
  • Range of condition monitoring measurements, e.g. vibrations, torque, speed, temperature
  • Triaxial test gearbox to compensate axial reaction force due to helical gear

Application:

Spur or helical gear pairs that contain the following geometrical constraints:

  • Large gear diameter: 80 – 200mm
  • Small gear diameter: 80 – 105 mm
  • Gear width: up to 40mm
  • Wheelbase: 89 – 140 mm

Objective:

Research into the wear and damage characteristics of the tested gears under controlled load, speed and lubrication conditions.
