RR Moore Rotating Beam Fatigue Testing System
The rotating beam principle served as the design foundation for the RR Moore Fatigue Testing Systems.
The test object functions as a standard beam that is loaded symmetrically at two points. The stresses in the material that were initially below the neutral axis are reversed from tension to compression and vice versa when rotated one half rotation. Once the revolution is finished, the forces are once more reversed, allowing the test specimen to go through one full cycle of flexural stress (tension and compression).
This system is designed for destructive and non- destructive testing of beams.
Features:
- Testing of straight shank specimens (length 90mm ±25mm)
- Maximum speed up to 10.000 rpm
- Torque from 2.5Nm to 25 Nm
- Temperature specimen control
