Frederic Maes  has won the 2nd Meditech prize for Best student presentation with the work "Embryonic hearts: how do they pump?" at the 9th International Symposium on Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering, Valencia, Spain, Feb 24-27 2010.
