Facade Test Centre
The test centre for facade components comprises three separate test rigs for airtightness and watertightness testing. The statics watertightness test rig allows to subject building components to a range of wind pressures and wind driven rain simulations, whereas the cyclic and dynamic watertightness test rigs render it possible to apply high frequency pressure fluctuations and very precise water spray rates.
When building components are subjected to a temperature gradient, the difference in thermal expansion may induce mechanical failure or hamper the practical use. IR-bulbs combined with thermocouples allow for a controlled temperature gradient on test samples.
