The Geotechnical Research Group at Ghent University is engaged in research covering a wide spectrum of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering. The current interests of the group are wide, encompassing the fundamental mechanics of soils, shallow and deep foundations, foundations in difficult soil conditions, hydraulic barriers for environmental applications and soil remediation technologies.
