Andreas has joined our department!

After completing his Civil Engineering masters degree at Ghent University, Andreas has joined our lab as a new PhD researcher under guidance of prof. Roman Wan-Wendner, prof. Robby Caspeele and prof. Els Verstrynge (KU Leuven). His research focuses on corrosion in concrete structures considering uncertainties such as spatial variability. The focus will be on the modelling aspect considering the consequences of corrosion of reinforcement steel resulting in spalling of the concrete cover.
