Welcome to Dr Miriam Schuster

From November 11 to December 14, 2024, Dr.-Ing. Miriam Schuster is visiting the Department of Structural Engineering and Building Materials at UGent. Miriam Schuster studied civil engineering at the University of Luxembourg and TU Darmstadt. Her Ph.D. thesis focused on the characterization of various laminated safety glass interlayers. Since 2022, she has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Design at TU Darmstadt, where she explores sustainability and circularity in glass applications. During her time at UGent, Dr Schuster will engage in an exchange of ideas on current research topics related to glass, fostering collaboration and paving the way for joint research initiatives.
