Youk Moorthamers receives a FWO PhD fellowship

We're happy to announce that Youk has received a PhD Fellowship in Fundamental Research from the FWO. Under the supervision of Prof. Bart Merci, he will continue his work on the development of a new sub-grid combustion model for Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of fire-driven flows, aiming to address some of the current shortcomings of conventional combustion models in capturing transient fire behavior.
