Maikel Pellens is Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Gent. He completed his PhD in Business Economics at KU Leuven and was previously a Senior Researcher at the Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research. Maikel conducts research in the economics of entrepreneurship and innovation, and is particularly interested in science-industry knowledge transfer. His work has been published in journals such as Research Policy, Industrial and Corporate Change, Economics Letters, the Journal of Technology Transfer, and Scientometrics.
