Policy studies
Research on public policy fundamentally explores the questions of how and why policies are formulated, designed and implemented as well as their implications for society. In this line of research, there are different foci and theoretical approaches taking different perspectives. This includes aspects of expertise and evidence, rationality and cognition, politicization, the nature of policy problems, process theories, among others.
