The research group 'Governing & Policing Security' focuses on (1) the shifting nature of security problems and the changing actors that provide safety and control (e.g., public/private, administrative/judiciary), (2) the blurring boundaries between these actors and their policy and operational roles, and (3) the implementation of security policies and their impact on the involved stakeholders, partner organizations, and citizens.
