Short bio:
I am a PhD student at the research group of Physical Activity and Health at Ghent University. I work on the Stand UP Seniors (SUPS) project, which focuses on identifying conducive contexts and working mechanisms of sedentary behavior interventions in older adults by making use of the realist methodology. With my background in Health Promotion, I am interested in promoting healthy aging, behavior change and health psychology. More specifically, I am interested in habit research and the psychology behind sedentary behavior in older adults. For the moment, we are conducting an event-based Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) study to gain insight into how the habit of sedentary behavior is formed and which substitution strategies would be feasible to change the behavior.
