Jonas Langeraert

Jonas Langeraert graduated as a pharmacist from Ghent University in July 2022, where he obtained a Master of Science in Drug Development. In October of that year, he joined the Laboratory of Medicinal Biochemistry and Clinical Analysis as a PhD student. His current research is focused on using physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling techniques to predict colonic tissue exposures of gut restricted small molecule drugs developed to treat inflammatory bowel disease. This project aims to provide a better mechanistic insight in colonic tissue exposure of these drugs and ultimately aid in dose selection.
