The Laboratory of Clinical Biology of UZ Gent performs laboratory tests in various patient samples : blood, urine, stool, wound fluid, pus, spinal fluid,etc. The lab also takes blood samples.
The lab's clinical biologists are available for advice on laboratory tests. In this way, the lab supports the attending physician in the diagnosis and follow-up of his patients.
The lab performs analyzes in the following areas:clinical chemistry, hematology and coagulation, microbiology, toxicology, hormonology, metabolic disorders,infectious and non-infectious serology, molecular diagnostic techniques, point-of-care testing.
