History of the collection L27
The original departmental library L27, housed on the second floor of the Blandijn, originated after the merger of several smaller seminar libraries in 1995:
- Epistemology and Knowledge Technology - GUS101
- Logic and Philosophy of Science - GUS101A
- Moral Philosophy and Metaphysics - GUS120 or L20
- Moral Pedagogy - GUS124 or L24
- Contemporary Philosophy - GUS141 or L41 and
- Modern Philosophy - GUS142 or L42.
(Blandijn, 2013. Right before the start of the move. )
In the autumn of 2013, the collection was transferred to the Faculty Library of Arts and Philosophy. Part of the collection was stored in the depot (mainly less topical works). In addition, part of the collection of Art History (L70) was integrated, i.e. the sections on aesthetics and philosophy of art LWBIB.L27.50-60).
