Visiting Researchers

The Department of Literary Studies warmly welcomes Visiting Researchers.

  • Information about obtaining a PhD at Ghent University is to be found on the website of the Doctoral Schools.
  • The Department and its different research teams are willing to offer support in applying for mobility funding, e.g. for a joint PhD or a postdoctoral fellowship. (e.g. the HEU MSCA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships or similar options).
  • The Flemish Research Council (FWO-Vlaanderen) aims to attract excellent researchers to Flanders with its Phd and postdoctoral fellowships.
  • The UGent Faculty of Arts and Humanities has its own Research Fund which provides grants for visiting postdocs (1-6 months).
  • The Belgian American Educational Foundation offers fellowships for (1 year of) study or research in Belgium to applicants from the US.
  • More funding opportunities for incoming international mobility
