With the NoBoCap (Increased Notified Body Capacity) project, a groundbreaking initiative under the wings of the EU4Health Programme, our Mission is to bridge the gap between Notified Bodies (NBs), the Medical Device Industry (MDI), Market Operators (MOs), and other players streamlining the complex process of dossier submissions, reviews, and approvals. Amongst others, by increasing accessibility and enhancing capacities, we’re working to ensure that innovative health solutions can reach the market more swiftly and efficiently.

With the Ghent University course "Introduction to Medical Device Legislation (E027880)" . The course provides an introduction to the European medical device legislation for both medical devices and in vitro diagnostics, to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex regulatory landscape governing medical devices in Europe. The course will also touch upon the basics of United States regulations (FDA). Particular attention will be paid to device qualification and classification, risk management, general safety and performance requirements, and quality management according to ISO 13485 standards, in particular activities such as design and development, including usability, and verification and (limited) validation.

With the Need2MedTech course. A unique training and innovation trajectory at Ghent University and UZ Gent hospital to transform real unmet clinical needs into game-changing medical solutions and technologies. Immersion in the hospital, identifying what really matters, and bringing it all the way to a validated concept with spin-off potential=> Need2MedTech is your launchpad.
