CTT - Climate transition tool

About

Few people doubt about the fact that in the (near) future we will have to do it with less CO2 emissions. Not only global warming, but also the limited fossil energy sources are a challenge to create a less energy-intensive society. There are many scenarios to reduce CO2 emissions, but one idea is to work with a climate budget. Everyone gets an equal number of ‘emission rights’ and chooses free lee how to spend those. With this project that idea will be tested for the first time in a virtual way.

‘Climate budget’ is a project of the non-profit association ‘Ecolife’, in cooperation with IBBT, MICT/UGent, Green IT, Stad Gent, Muntuit en Netwerk Vlaanderen with the support of the Indaver Fonds.

Duration of the project

The project runs from 01/01/2010 - 31/03/2011.
