Behavioral Change
This project aims to stimulate group renovations using a digital twin and embarkment tool. The digital twin will provide insights on recommended renovations in order to increase energy efficiency on a city level. The embarkment tool aims to convince home-owners to perform these renovations, by providing them with the information and packages that fit their needs. For the latter purpose, we need to understand the motivations, attitudes and beliefs of home-owners in order to develop a solution with high potential for adoption.
We at imec-mict-UGent will support the development of the user embarkment tool, applying behavioral change theories and a user-centered design approach. By involving home-owners in the process and applying an iterative approach, we can make evidence-based decisions on which behavioral change techniques to implement in the tool.
