Dennis Osei Tutu is a junior researcher at the research group imec-mict-ugent. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Design (Ghent University campus Kortrijk, 2021) and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Design (Ghent University campus Kortrijk, 2022).
For his master thesis, he saw the opportunity to use Encountered-Type Haptic Displays to facilitate haptic interactions between virtual objects to simulate industrial processes. After successfully simulating constant and variable forces using a robotic arm, he joined the imec-mict-ugent team to pursue a Doctorate’s degree. Currently, he is researching 21st century skill acquisition and evaluation VR, along with a continuation of haptic interaction solutions for VR.
