Aleksandra Gliszczyńska-Grabias is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Law Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences. She specializes in constitutional law, legal tools of fighting anti-Semitism and xenophobia, freedom of speech, rights of vulnerable groups, and legal governance over memory.

She is the co-editor and co-author of Constitutionalism under Stress (OUP, 2020) and Law and Memory: Towards Legal Governance of History (CUP, 2017). Prof. Gliszczyńska-Grabias has held fellowships at prestigious institutions including the University of Cambridge, Yale University, and the European University Institute.

She is the Principal Investigator in international research consortia ‘Memory Laws in European and Comparative Perspectives (MELA)’ funded by the Humanities in the European Research Area (2016-2019) and ‘The Challenge of Populist Memory Politics for Europe: Towards Effective Responses to Militant Legislation on the Past’ (2021–2024) sponsored by the Volkswagen Stiftung (2021-2024).
