In this seminar, professor Aske Kammer (Roskilde University, Denmark) presents his research into the digital infrastructure of online news.
In the presentation, he discusses how digital data constitutes a resource for the news industry, and he lays out the methodological practicalities of mapping digital infrastructure.
After the presentation, there is time for discussion. Aske Kammer, PhD, is Associate Professor (on the promotion program) at Roskilde University, Denmark. His research focuses on the intersection between editorial, technology, and business in the news industry. In particular, he works with the datafication of news work, exploring how data constitutes a resource for the news and leading the Datafied News Industry (DANI) research project.
