Publication details: please check below which grants need to be acknowledged when publishing results obtained with the help of NMR (instrument specific). The corresponding GISMO codes also need to be mentioned when submitting your publications to the academic biblio of the UGent.
The spectrometers listed below are all managed by the NMR expertise center. In general there are two categories to be discerned:
Open access infrastructure
These spectrometers operate 24/7 in a semi-automated environment and are available for researchers to measure in an independent manner following a short training organized by Emile Ottoy (CTO).
300MHz (Phobos)
400MHZ (Deimos)
Research infrastructure
This infrastructure is accessible to dedicated researchers only, following a clear and adequate motivation illustrating the research needs. The researcher in questions needs to follow an in-depth training before access is allowed.
500MHz (Nestor)
500MHz (Hercules)
700MHz (Hera)
300MHz Avance I (Bruker) - Phobos
Technical description
• 5mm dual channel probe head - 1H and Broadband (BBO-type)
• Running Topspin 2.1 in ICONNMR environment
• Fully automated SampleXpress sample changer for 60 samples
• Fully automated bacs sample changer for 60 samples
• Ultrashield + type magnet
The 700MHz is funded thanks to the following grants:
Spectrometer + magnet and accessories: FFEU-ZWAP (2003)
Upgrade of the old room temperature TXI probe to a Prodigy cryoprobe: Hercules foundation AUGE/15/2012 (GISMO code 319202316)
Upgrade of the Avance II to an Avance NEO console: FWO Infrastructure I009324N (2024)
