Multimodal Emotion Recognition

Emotion is essential for humans. It not only contributes to the communication between humans, but also plays a critical role in rational and intelligent behavior. Its functions can be seen in many aspects of our daily lives. Thus, the study of automatic emotion recognition techniques is indispensable. In this talk, we present signal processing and machine learning approaches for emotion recognition from audio, video and physiological sensors, and discuss promising applications and open challenges.
