Amber De Clerck
In December 2018 I joined the Culture and Education research group at the Department of Educational Sciences of Ghent University as a PhD-researcher and as a teaching assistant.
In my research project I study new rhetoric (a) as a conceptual framework to unpack and understand how cultural logics about identity and identifications are at play in the public debate and (b) as a basis to develop a critical pedagogy that generates an awareness of and reflexivity about such cultural logics.
As a teaching assistant I offer educational support for the courses Culture & Education and Culture Studies (Prof. Dr. Kris Rutten). I am also responsible for the internship coordination together with my colleague Elise Ameloot (Prof. Dr. Martin Valcke).
