Geert Vandermeersche

Since october 2020 he is professor in Art- and cultural education at VUB. 

Geert Vandermeersche is a guest professor at Ghent University, part of the research group Culture & Education (Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences). Since October 2020 he is professor Art- and cultural education at VUB.

In 2013, he completed a PhD on literature education, in which concepts such as Bildung and the narrative turn took a central position. He teaches courses on different aspect of culture and art education, with a focus on literacy and media such as books, movies and comics.
