Luz Santa María Muxica

Since 2019 I am a PhD researcher at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and in 2020 I joined the Culture & Education Research Group from Ghent University under a joint PhD research. My project is titled “A qualitative study into the literary socialisation practices of adolescents” and it aims to study the current ways in which adolescents in international contexts socialise their literary readings, with the lens of Gee’s concept of affinity spaces. The course of the research will unfold through several methodological stages, such as observation of digital activity and case study. 

Previously, I completed a Master of Education at the University of Western Australia and a Master of Literature at Universidad de Chile. I have also lectured on reading promotion and young adult literature, and worked in the School Libraries LRC Program at the Ministry of Education of Chile.
