Johan van Braak

Onderzoekscoördinator bij de onderzoeksgroep METiS

Johan van Braak is van opleiding onderwijzer en doctor in de pedagogische wetenschappen (VUB, 1999). Sinds 2003 is hij verbonden aan de Vakgroep van de Universiteit Gent. Hij doceert curriculumontwikkeling, onderwijsinnovatie en onderwijseffectiviteit in de bachelor- en masteropleiding Pedagogische Wetenschappen. Sinds 2015 is hij tevens voorzitter van deze opleiding.

Zijn onderzoek richt zich voornamelijk op de integratie van digitale technologie in scholen. Hij coördineert ook effectiviteitsonderzoek rond klassieke vaardigheden (zoals taalvaardigheden) en 21ste eeuwse vaardigheden (zoals digitale en burgerschapsvaardigheden) in het leerplichtonderwijs.
