Cedric Reculé
Cedric Reculé obtained a bachelor’s degree in Special Needs Education at University College Leuven-Limburg (UCLL, formerly KHLim) in 2010. In 2014, he graduated as Master of Educational Sciences (Special Needs Education) at Ghent University. He finished his study with a master’s thesis on the effectiveness of internet-based treatment for alcohol dependency. In 2018 he also completed a postgraduate course in Autism at Artevelde University College.
After graduation, Cedric worked as an orthopedagogue in a Forensic Psychiatric Centre in Ghent (FPC Gent). In March 2019, he started a PhD, supervised by Dr. Olivier Colins. In this FWO-funded research, Cedric aims to find more homogeneous subgroups of 16- to 17-year old boys who (allegedly) committed crimes and to test whether these groups differ from each other and from healthy controls in clinically and theoretically relevant ways. In his research, Cedric will focus on fearless temperament in criminal-justice involved youth.
