Bert Weijters obtained a MA in Psychology at UGent, a MA in Marketing Management at Vlerick Business School, and a Ph. D. in Applied Economics at UGent. He wrote his PhD dissertation on response styles in consumer research and has continued working in the area of survey methods and data analysis ever since, focusing on topics like measurement equivalence, item wording, context effects, etc. He also applies the methodological insights developed in this domain in research collaborations on green consumer behavior, digital music consumption and piracy, (employer) branding, and other topics. Bert has published his work in international journals in marketing (including Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing) and psychology (including Psychological Methods).
